Great & Little Oakley By-Election, Thursday 9th February 2017
Introducing Matthew Bensilum
Our candidate is Matthew Bensilum, who lives locally with his wife Hayley and three children. Matthew was educated at a local primary school and then at Clacton County High School, and has now lived in the Tendring district for over forty years. As a local employer and business owner, Matthew has a keen grasp of financial issues and if elected, this will certainly help him in representing us and promoting the interests of our community.
Matthew, having previously served as a parish councillor, will be honoured to further serve our local community and represent residents on Tendring Council as our new District Councillor for Great and Little Oakley. He is committed to fully supporting and maintaining the local amenities enjoyed by both communities, believing that The Harewood Surgery is one of the biggest assets Great Oakley and Little Oakley has to offer, and to supporting our lovely rural life in Tendring.
As our new councillor, Matthew will fight for our community and push for improvements to our roads, make sure we get our fair share spent on Great Oakley and Little Oakley, and listen to our views. Our concerns are Matthew's too!
Our NHS
Did you know that North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Group is currently consulting on plans which could see both Harwich and Clacton Minor Injuries Units closed, together with the Colchester Walk In Centre? We believe that it's important that our local NHS services are protected.
